My name is Matt, and I would call myself a storyteller by design. I aspire to design and direct in the film industry. Story is where it's at, and I need to be a part of it. I like to spend my spare time riding my motorcycle, cracking my bullwhip, and thinking about space exploration.

I am very much a fine artist and a designer. I hope to bring the two together in as many ways as I can. I always strive to make any project my own, and to be as ambitious and thorough as possible.
I think a sense of humor is the most important thing in the world.
I'm from outside Boston, go Red Sox!
I look dead sexy in a buffalo hide loin cloth.

I like long walks on the beach and naps on hammocks. I aspire to grow a mustache that would rival Robert Redford's.

I grew up in Scottsdale Arizona and now reside in Boston, MA. Apparel to me isn't just something to be worn, it is an extension of the body and I hope to one day bring to life all the dreams I've had.

lindsay perkins - apparel design '10

I grew up in Taiwan/Hong Kong, and have always loved to travel. I love Asia. I started making dolls for myself when I was a kid, and then I would make their clothes. I think that's how I got started in apparel.
Growing up internationally, and now coming to RISD, has challenged me to think about how I can best use my skills to help people.
I'm interested in humanitarian design in developing countries that boosts economy. I would love to see the fashion industry working and investing in developing countries to do just that. When I'm designing apparel, I wrestle with the themes of social rights, empowerment through employment. I love hearing stories about long-lasting change, whether it's in business, agriculture, through design.
