It was a clear, bright morning in London for the 2011 Tweed Run. All the details were in place to shoot our cycling image in the shadow of St. Paul's Cathedral just before the Run set off.

We had picked up an fantastic clothing selection from Rapha. Their Gentleman’s Cap, Long Sleeve Shirt, Tailored Jacket, Rapha + Paul Smith trousers, and super cool Apolis collaboration Transit Elite sweater were all ready to go.

We'd found our designer / rock and roll model, Noel Leeman, wearing his official Handlebar Club members-only tie, as he signed in amidst the sea of tweeded gentlemen.

The Guv'nor that John at Pashley had brought down for us to use was in place, and who should come 'round but Ewan McGregor. He'd purchased a Guv'nor himself months prior, and was there to to join the ride as part of the Pashley crew. We were honored to get a polaroid of Noel and Ewan together.

It's officially Movember 2011! 

I hope you're ready to encourage the growth of your upper lip hair and I hope you'll enjoy spending some time with our Cat Burglar, Riley Gibbs.

This is our first year to support Movember directly with the calendar, and we are excited to get behind the cause worldwide.

Looking towards the future, our goal is for The Moustache Calendar to be an integral part of the Movember experience - a constant reminder throughout the year to stay aware and involved in men's health issues.

For our 2012 edition, THE VERY BEST, we worked with an amazing group of people and companies in the UK that wanted to support the amazing work Movember is able to fund around the globe. In the coming weeks we will introduce them to you, and tell you some of the amazing stories we collected on during production in London.

THE VERY BEST celebrates the rich heritage of the moustache in the United Kingdom. Shot on location in and around London, its images feature some of the the UK's very best brands, designers, artists, athletes, and gentlemen.

This year's edition will be the first from which the net profits will be donated to Movember.

Movember is an international, moustache growing charity event held during November each year where men and women across the globe join together to raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically cancers affecting men. Men grow a Mo (moustache) for 30 days to become walking, talking billboards for men’s health.

In light of this years calendar theme I've started a list of the men MOST WANTED for their moustaches for the 2012 calendar. It will be photographed in London next spring, and hopefully some of these great guys will be able to join us in celebrating the history of the moustache in the British Isles

As you may know - I want to photograph Conan for The Moustache Calendar. Who knows what it will take for that to happen - but I am going to keep trying till we get a shot at it.

The Korean version of DAZED AND CONFUSED - a style magazine covering music, fashion, film, art and literature - included MOST WANTED in a selection of calendars from all over the world including Madonna's 2011 editon, one produced by Campari, another by Lavazza, and a slew of other artists and companies.

We're proud of being included in such great company - and in such a quality publication.
